My Journey to Wellness

 my journey to wellness

Welcome to my little corner of the web — a space where I share my weight loss journey, self-care tips, and so much more. It’s all about feeling good, inside and out, and I’m so happy you’re here with me!

I decided to make the
skincare favorites, Beauty care, on its own page, so you will see that coming really soon.  Thanks for being here.

Self-care tips

Here are some Self-care tips that touch on physical, emotional, mental,
and spiritual well-being.

~~~~~~~~~
๐ŸŒฟ Physical Self-Care
  • Stay hydrated: Aim for 6–8 glasses of water a day.
  • Move your body: Gentle stretching, a walk, or dancing in your kitchen counts!
  • Sleep well: Aim for 7–9 hours of quality rest.
  • Pamper your skin: Do a skincare routine you enjoy — even a simple cleanse and moisturizer helps.
  • Eat nourishing foods: Add fruits, veggies, or something colorful to your plate.
๐Ÿ’– Emotional Self-Care
  • Set boundaries: Say no when you need to protect your peace of mind.
  • Feel your feelings: Journaling, crying, laughing—give yourself permission to feel.
  • Connect: Talk to a friend or loved one regularly (even a quick check-in helps).
  • Positive affirmations: “I am doing my best. That is enough.”
๐Ÿง  Mental Self-Care
  • Unplug: Take breaks from screens and social media.
  • Organize your space: A clean corner can clear your mind.
  • Learn something new: A fun fact, a hobby, or a short read can refresh your brain.
  • Say kind things to yourself: Your inner voice matters.
๐Ÿ•Š️ Spiritual Self-Care (not necessarily religious)
  • Practice gratitude: Write 3 things you're grateful for today.
  • Spend time in nature: Even a moment outside can center you.
  • Breathe deeply: Try a 4-4-4-4 breathing technique (inhale, hold, exhale, hold — 4 seconds each).
  • Reflect quietly: meditate, pray, or simply sit with your thoughts.
Weight loss journey
๐ŸŒŸ My Weight Loss Journey: Starting Again, Step by Step
I’ve decided it’s time to work on my weight loss again. I’ve tried before, and while it didn’t always go as planned, I’m not giving up. I’m going to keep trying until I get it right — because I’m worth it.
This time, I’m going back to what worked before: counting calories. It helped me once, and I believe it can help me again. The key is sticking with it.
My biggest challenge has always been walking. It hurts, and I can’t go very far — but that’s not going to stop me anymore. I’ve decided to start small and build from there.
๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 minute. Then 2. Then 3...
Little by little, I’ll build my strength and endurance.
I found a calorie calculator to help me track my calories.
If you have anything that you use to help you lose weight, please pass on the information. thanks.
I’ve tried almost everything — except starting this slowly — so I have nothing to lose by trying a new approach. Once I can walk for 2 minutes straight, I’ll add in another light exercise. Then more. Bit by bit, I’ll get there.
This is just the beginning, and I’m proud of myself for starting again. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’–
I decided to use Hungry Girl community, etc. I just joined their group on Facebook as well, if you would like to check it out.
Wellness Update
My wellness plan didn’t start off perfectly, but I’ve made a couple of changes that feel like real wins. Cutting out snacks has been huge for me (I’m honestly pretty proud of that one!), and I’ve also been getting outside for walks more often. Not as much as I’d like yet, but progress is progress.
In the past, I always tried to jump in full force, and that just never worked. Last month was a complete flop, and it made me realize I can’t keep doing things the same way. This time, I’m taking it slow—and so far, it feels so much better.
Next week, my plan is to add just one new exercise and build from there. I’ve learned I’m not someone who can go all out from day one. I do much better starting small and stacking on new habits little by little.
So far, this new approach seems to be working for me. Fingers crossed it keeps going that way. Wish me luck this coming week! ๐Ÿ™‚
